I am also using Dell Vostro. Since the speaker is at the bottom, I can't hear anything without a headphone. I don't understand the logic behind putting the speaker at the bottom while there is so much space on the front side. The touch pad may be placed on the right side of the front space. It will make typing easier. At least two models of Lenovo and HP have speakers at the bottom.

Subject: [AI] Regarding laptop volume

Hi all,

I am not getting the sufficient audibility from my laptop while
working on windows, but with Linux the default speakers are giving
fine audio output.
Now I am using the maximum volume
What may be the reason? . Is there any tips or software available for
increasing the sound,
please share with me.

My laptop is Dwel vostro 1014 , with windows 07 Ultimate version.
Would appreciate your immediate help.
