A visually challenged customer is required to submit (i) application form (Annexure-B) (ii) terms of service (Annexure-C) and (iii) Undertaking (the following documents to his/her branch for availing internet banking facility. 3. RBI vide its Circular No.DBOD No. Leg.BC.18/09.07.006/2011-12 dated July 1, 2011 has directed all the Banks to provide all the Banking facilities to the visually challenged persons without any discrimination. In a recent case filed by a visually challenged customer against the Bank, the Chief Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities has directed that "no additional undertaking (undertaking which is not obtained from any non-disabled citizen) be obtained from customers with visually disability". The matter was referred to Law Department for their views and they have advised that waiver of the obtention of undertaking from the visually challenged customers will be in compliance of the order. However, appropriate security measures to protect the interest of visually challenged is to be in place while providing the banking facilities like normal customers. 4. In view of the above,it has now been decided to waive the obtention of undertaking (Annexure-D) at the time of granting internet banking facility to visually challenged customers. The other guidelines advised in thee-Circular No. NBG/NBG-INB-INB/3/2012-13 dated 12.05.2012 will remain unchanged. 5.
