My friend the great in Montreal has bought a ZTE android 2.3 phone and then bet against me that android screen reader will not work in her phone. Like a complete gullible fish I was, I accepted the bet right away. We installed talkback, but there's no voice output as of now. These are the steps we followed, please tell me if there's something missing here. 1. Install talkback by going to applications > settings> accessibility. 2. Go to applications> settings> voice input / out put > text to speech settings > and do the following: a. Check the box that says always use the default settings. b. Default Engine: Eco TTS c. Install Voice Data: English (U.S.) After this nothing happened.
