Dear all,
I thought I should share this experience. I opened an axis bank account
way back in 2007. Although I now have HSBC as a company given account, I
still use Axis bank for their friendly service.
The other day, I was at the bank to transfer my account from Delhi to
Mumbai. To my amazement, I was helped through all the steps by a very
friendly person at the customer relationship desk. I have always had some
issues with my signature. I don't sign the same way twice. However she
helped me out by signing below my name with a small note saying that the
signature was done in the presence of the bank officer.
I returned there within a day to make a deposit and was met by the same
friendly yet effecient service. I remember in 2007 when I opened my
account, they forgave my signature blunders to allow me a bank acount. I
thought this might be useful for those of us interested in looking at
opening an account today.
I don't find HSBC my other banker as friendly.

Regards,
