Alternatively, there are stainless steel oil containers available in the market, different sizes with ladle type spoons which give one an excellent idea of how much oil needs to be used for a particular preparation. These fit very well into the oil containers and aren't messy either. I have used them effectively and with no trouble.

Then you can more accurately put the oil where you want it.
