Hello Amiyo Da Here are the tentative steps: Steps for E- filing of Income Tax Return 1. Log on to Income Tax Department web site- www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in 2. New user - Register - Create a Pass Word. (Give details as per PAN Card) 3. Check your e-mail and click on activation link to activate your e-filing account. 4. Select & download appropriate Return Form. (For salary - ITR 1 and ITR 2 Form) 5. Fill up Return offline and generate xml File. 6. Login and click on relevant form on left panel and select "Submit Return". 7. Browse to select xml File and click on "Upload" button. 8. On successful upload, a compressed zip file will appear which contains acknowledgement details in PDF format. This file is password protected and the password is PAN of the assessee followed by the date of birth in small letters. Click on "Print" to generate printout of acknowledgement / ITR - V Form. 9. A duly signed acknowledgement should be send to Income Tax Dept. Banglore by Ordinary Post or Speed Post only within 120 days. 10. In case, Form ITR - V is furnished after the above mentioned period, the return shall be deemed to have never been filed and the assessee shall be required to re-transmit the data electronically followed by submitting new Form - ITR V. 11. Check "My Account" for further details.
Do's and Don'ts for Printing and Submitting of ITR - V to ITD - CPC Banglore 1. Please use Ink Jet / Laser Printer to print the ITR - V Form. 2. Only A4 size white paper should be used. 3. The ITR - V Form should be printed only in black ink. 4. Ensure that print out is clear and not light print/faded. 5. The document that is mailed to CPC should be signed in original. 6. Photocopy of the signature will not be accepted. 7. The signature or hand writing text should not be written on Bar Code. 8. Avoid typing/writing at the back of the paper. 9. Do not use stapler on ITR- V acknowledgement. 10. Please do not submit any annexures, covering letter, pre-stamped envelopes etc. along with ITR- V. 11. ITR- V that do not conform to the above specifications may get rejected or acknowledgement of receipt may get delayed.
