Dear All, If you notice carefully, life is a struggle for everyone; disabled or not! That is if you must call it that!
Having said that, I wish to say only one thing, we only need to change our own perception towards ourselves and to the world. The world only sees you as you see yourself! This is very very true, though you may like to differ. Always try to be on the giving end and not on the takeing/asking end, and you will see the change that comes into your life. Give of everything/ your knowledge, your friendship, your love, your help, your support, your kindness, your understanding, your hard work, your happiness etc, whatever you have. Try doing this and then you will soon realize that life need not be a struggle or a fight! After all weather you can see or not, you are a wonderful creation of the world and can make all the difference to everything around. Each one of us has our special set of strengths and skills, so try not to look at life as a struggle but in fact as your special challenge and recognize your own ability and expertise to sail through with flying colors! Count all your blessings and strengths and you will see how much you actually have been gifted with, and because of your very own positives, you have achieved so much for yourself. As the saying goes: "Be the change you wish to see in others and the world around"! Warmly Preeti Preeti Monga Director Silver Linings HR Solutions Pvt. Ltd. I just thought of discussing an issue with you guys purely for academic reasons. Wee all visually impaired people have to fight with someone or something on a daily basis in order to lead better lives. We have to constantly strive to change people's perceptions about us. Sometimes, even our own friends make us feel left out or try to act like our grandparents and not like our friends. In the sense that they try to protect or respect us too much. Plus, we have to face various challenges in order to compete with others in academics and later on in work. Cutting a long story short, what I mean to say is that our entire life is literally a struggle. So, how do you all keep yourself motivated? How do you bring yourself back up when the chips are down and you start asking yourself why is it that only you have to face such challenges? Cheers, Mohit P.S. Like I said earlier, I am only asking this question for the purpose of discussion. It is not like I am particularly depressed about something at the moment.
