I don't know how others manage to unhide, but my technique is this To unhide all the rows at once, press ctrl + shift + space to select the entire worksheet and then press ctrl + shift + 9. To unhide all the columns at once, select the entire worksheet and then press control + shift + 0.
To unhide one row or one column at a time, press ctrl + G, type the reference of the hidden cell, and then press shift + space to select the row or ctrl + space to select that column depending what you'd like to unhide and then choose the equivalent option. For example, Let's say I want to unhide the column C. so, I press ctrl + g, and type c1. When the cursor moves there, I press control + space to select the entire column and then press ctrl + 0 to unhide the selected column.
