You can press control + shift + L to toggle auto filter on or off in excel 2003 and 2007. After that the procedure is same as explained below

Suppose in an excel sheet there are two columns namely "account number" and "IRAC". (IRAC denotes the position of any account in banking in terms of regularity viz., standard normal, PNPA, NPA... Now there are hundreds of accounts and their IRAC (0 to 8) AND one need to findout that how many accounts have slipped into IRAC 2. Now one can use option "auto filter" to ascertain this! 1. Go to the column header "IRAC", hit enter on auto filter option, (alt+d+f+f), and press once alt+down arrow and then navigate through up and down arrow, now, select the option "2" and hit enter on it. 2. Now, in the sheet the only visible accounts would be those belonging to IRAC 2. 3. One can create multiple filter in same sheet or data. Note: the method I mentioned is for windows XP and office 2003 as I don't use 2007! Cheers!
