You can read PowerPoint documents using jaws, window eyes or Hal. If there
are images in PowerPoint, things become a tad more complex since you will
have to OCR them. Your best bet is to extract the image from the
presentation and run it through an OCR application. However, if your teacher
has given you the presentation as a PowerPoint show, then this may not be
possible. In this case, either get an editable version of the presentation
or use the Jaws OCR feature.
Note:
NVDA also has an OCR plugin but NVDA, as of this writing does not work with
PowerPoint.
