Dear Anand,

No screen reading application or software is going to be used in the forthcoming examination to be conducted by IBPS on the said dates. The exam will be online through Computer which will be provided by IBPS at the Center. Visually impaired applicants will have to use their scribe as usually to write the exam. There is no change in qualification criteria of scribe but writer should be able to operate the Computer, so the VI candidates do not miss on the writing aspect through their scribe.

Regards,

Subject: [AI] required information use of software/technology in CWE of IBPSin dec 2012

Greetings to all,

I am sure many VI candidates must have applied for CWE conducted by IBPS and online exams are going to be held between 15th to 24th of dec this year. Since the test would be online but there aren't any guidelines for VI candidate so as to what technology/software they would be using specially screene reader during the test? Has anybody any clue? I need to update my few friends regarding this.

Secondly, I am pasting below the information from IBPS website below and would like to know what is this technology/methodology which they may use during forthcoming exams?

"As part of Corporate Social Responsibility, IBPS launched a Technology aided Methodology in coordination with National Association for Blind for testing Visually Impaired candidates. A function was organized on 14th December, 2011 at IBPS for this launch and Mr. N R Narayana Murthy, the Chairman-emeritus of Infosys Ltd. was the Honorable Chief Guest."

Regards
Anand
