The videio intercept in jaws is a way jaws getstextual information
from the system that the system does not so easily provide by msaa
and some other means.
jaws sort of slips its video intercept between system and its video
driver (for the graphics card) and gets some of that information that
is not so easily read. This is a simplistic explanation but might
suffice to explain the video intercept's purpose.
so, yes, the intercept is needed and you ought to install it. ;-)
