As you must be aware that pre-budget consultations are taking place. For using
this opportunity gainfully, your viewpoints/suggestions with reference to
various financial benefits etc. being provided to PwDs under Income Tax Act,
Custom & Excise concessions, Concessions/ Benefits given in 6th CPC like
double Transport Allowance (in lieu of conveyance allowance, earlier),
Education Allowance at double rates for disabled children and Child Care
Allowance to women with disability (Central Govt. employees), etc. are
requested by the department of disability affairs.
In view of the above, you are requested to let us have your suggestions latest
by 11th January so that well meaning draft could be prepared for submission to
the department of disability affairs. This may please be given top priority.
