This is indeed shocking! I knew Abdul personally. He was one of the most positive human-beings I have known. I first interacted with him when he had called the Eyeway helpdesk asking if he as a blind person can do an MBA and if so how. I then had visited him at Pune where he was doing his BBA. He had introduced me to the Head of his institution. He also along with Tausif shared with me a film they had made for a project they did on inclusion. I still have the film with me. Abdul was a dynamic person. He did not wait for the World to include him, he took the initiative. I personally feel the loss. We have not only lost a friend but an inspiration.

I met Abdul for the first time when he was a shy teenager at NAB Jamshedpur. The next time I heard from him was when he was giving the Symbiosis entrance exams from Bhubhaneshwar and needed help with the writer guidelines. After getting into a BBA programme Abdul wanted to make his teachers understand accessibility. Then it was the enthusiastic Abdul inspiring his college mates and making a great presentation at the Accessindia Convention in Ahmedabad 2008. In 2011 I saw him as a courteous host at his hotel in Jamshedpur and a great volunteer amd motivator to the kids at NAB Jamshedpur. Last month I heard from Atul Sahay about his placement with Wipro and was so proud to see the transformation. Abdul was always shy, soft spoken, enthusiastic, helpful and had a yearning to do something for his visually challenged community. I can at this point only bow my head in grief and tears. We did lose someone who mattered.
