As an update, I am pasting below information about using Skype with Dolphin SuperNova Screen-reader and magnifier. Using Skype 6 with Dolphin SuperNova Well! We all are aware that Skype is a popular voice over IP and instant messaging application. As well as enabling free internet voice calls from computer to computer, Skype also allows you to purchase credit, which you can use to call landline and mobile telephones. SuperNova provides access to most features and functionality of Skype including menus, dialog boxes and contact lists. For best results we recommend you run SuperNova Version 13. Configuration tips Accessibility settings Skype includes two settings that improve accessibility for users of a keyboard and A screen reader. You should ensure "Extended Keyboard Navigation" and "Screen Reader Mode" are turned on in Skype. To do this: 1. Run Skype. 2. Press ALT + T. The "Tools" menu opens. 3. DOWN ARROW to "Accessibility" and RIGHT ARROW. Asub-menu opens. The sub-menu contains the items "Extended Keyboard Navigation" and "Screen Reader Mode". 4. If an item is unchecked then press ENTER. Skype selects the item and closes the menu. 5. Repeat the steps until both items are checked. Creating keyboard commands Skype provides a number of commands to which you can assign hot keys. To do this: 1. Run Skype. 2. Press ALT + T. The "Tools" menu opens. 3. DOWN ARROW to "Options" and press ENTER. The "Options" dialog box opens. This is a dialog box with categories listed on the left side and related settings on the right side. 4. DOWN ARROW to the "Hot Keys" category. This is the last category in the list. You can also jump to this category by pressing END. 5. TAB to the list of commands and press SPACEBAR to check the items you want to use. Items include "Answer call", "Answer video call" and "Hang up". Some items have a default hot key assigned and other items have no hot key assigned. 6. If you want to change a hot key or assign a hot key to an item, select the item and TAB to the "Change selected shortcut" button and press SPACEBAR. The "Set hot key..." dialog box opens. Use the controls in this dialog box to select the hot key combination you want to assign to the command and then TAB to the "OK" button and press SPACEBAR. 7. Repeat the steps for each command you want to assign a hot key to and then TAB to the "Save" button and press SPACEBAR. Skype saves the changes and closes the dialog box. Keyboard commands Skype keyboard commands Skype Commands Press Go to contact list ALT + 1 Go to RECENT list ALT + 2 Answer call (hot key must be first enabled in Skype) ALT + PAGE UP Answer video call (hot key must be first enabled in Skype) CONTROL + ALT + PAGE UP Hang Up (hot key must be first enabled in Skype) ALT + PAGE DOWN Tip: Skype requires you to enable the hot keys first, before you can use them.
