Hi all,

I had a chance to see a small part of the book fair. There were many
publishers selling e-books and many companies who were helping publishers
convbert their content into e-books. A publisher I spoke too even knew about
alternative text tags for images and voice over accessibility.

If you decide to go, then remember that 10 February is the last day. You
will need sighted assistance and everyone gets lost there. Most of the
e-book publishers are in hall 3 but Gaurang, is in hall 1A stall b5. They do
have their ideal e-pub reader on display. I am also going to be trying
Readwhere Store from Readwhere publisher which appears to be a brand name
for Mediology Software Pvt. Ltd. They have many magazines on display.
Everything is available in electronic format.

I am wondering if the next time we approach publishers, instead of asking
for access for the blind, we should offer to convert their publication to
accessible e-books? We may get a better reception.

Pranav
