I have used Firefox with jaws over several years and versions without any issues.

I am currently using the "Extended Release" version of Firefox whose interface and features do not change quite as often as the regular Firefox's and are therefore not as likely to require adaptations made in the screenreaderbut recent regular firefox versions have worked just as well.

If you want to see if a new version of firefox is compatible with your version of jaws (or other screenreader), you can download and install a portable version of the latest version of firefox to see how it works with the access technology you are using.

As per my experience, firefox has some problems with JAWS and even the latest firefox crashes as it gets started. But it works very well with NVDA.
