page by page deletion is very lengthy process and for 2000 mails it
would be very very tiresome and tough job.
easy way is that , insert f7 for links list after you loged in to your
gmail account. then press "c" until you hear create filter, hit enter
on it, then e for edit boxes, there filters criteria is mentioned, if
you want to delete all mails then specify the criteria, like in to
field, write your mail id, in from write the mail id of groups you are
subscribed like ai and others, dont know email ids are separated by
comma or semicolon but some other member will tell you definitely, or
try first putting , otherwise semi colon. in subject you can also
write something, but i will recommend you to leave them empty, then
hit on test search button, find this button with "b" then the mails
corresponding to your search filter will be displayed, to check
whether all mails are selected , ctrl home to come on the top of the
page then shift h for last heading , it will be results, now navigate
through down arrow and check , if you think that almost mails of every
kind, of every mailing lists etc are listed here, there will be some
mails not all 2000 mails, so dont worry. if you think that almost
mails of all categories are there then hit next button , find it with
"b" then new page will be loaded then x for checkbox, one will be what
you want to do with these selections. first check the checkbox, "skip
inbox" then x till you hear " apply filter to following twenty or some
number conservations also?" check this checkbox and then find delete
button with "b" if you find it then hit enter and you are done, if it
is not there then c for comboxes and check whether delete is in the
comboxes or not. i think there will be delete button . and first look
at all buttons, it might be possible that there are two buttons , like
delete and delete permanently. delete will move all to trash and
delete permanently will delete it totally. and you can also write to
gmail team for asking questions like that they will give you good
response also. and if you now ask question that how delete mails from
trash ? then i will say might be same filter procedure but not sure.
perform these steps and let me know that whether you performed these
steps successfully or need some more support. and if still problem
persists then will discus it again. thanks .

Not possible at a stretch, but can do page by page.
By default, gmail can show 50 mails per page.
You can select all and hit enter on the delete button.
