As far as I know, St Stephen's College has always been sensitive towards disabled students and students from the weaker sections of the community. This is true of the college even before the University woke up to the needs of the marginalised. There could be delays in responding to University directives. As regards the media articles, the media has always been quick to target colleges like Stephen's since they are soft targets.
