Hello mam, If I am not wrong then, it might be the case with any file which you have downloaded from internet. next time when you encounter any file which ms word opens in protected view then just close that file by pressing alt f4. Thereafter, go to the properties of the file and press tab two or three times. you should be getting unblock butten press space or enter on that. After that, it will be unable to navigate so you will have to press alt tab to focus the properties dialog box again. here press enter on ok butten and you will be able to open the file normally. regards
