Hi,
I strongly feel that, learning Braille would help us not only
for the corporate world, but for any field. . Can easily take note of
only what is important in the class, can learn foreign language in
using the spelling and pronunciation in your mother tongue for
proficiency in that particular language, can do any calculation or
translation which was given as a part of class work by reading and
writing at the same time and reading for the class teacher, can be
useful for writing musical notations, can be useful for writers for
jotting down their thoughts immediately, can skip pages sooner than
computer by giving some indications, can increase the sense of touch,
and can do many more things. We can do these things with technology,
but why Braille is to save our time, make us more independent and
confident, so no second thoughts about learning Braille. If people
have no opportunity of learning, they can use technology. But, when we
have the opportunity of learning, I think, it’s the best decision. I
have seen few visually impaired friends feeling shy of using Braille
in class; I feel that, that attitude never give what we want. All the
best for your learning.
