There should be a hard button or a function on the printer for the photo copier 
operation. Look for that.

hello,
usually this type of problem persist if you have the photocopy pending
jobs. for instance, if you had earlier made the photocopy of any
document and set the number using button located on the printer, it
prevents to accept new photocopy jobs, if the said job remains
incomplete. so in this case, you have to press  cancel button on the
printer to stop the current pending job.

this will not work using clearing printing jobs via computer
interface. thats the solution i have for my printer as and when such
kind of problem persist.
