hello, once you come to the edit box mentioned by you, press enter to type in your choice. please note that type your station code slowly so that you get your exact match. however, i did not face this problem so far. so if you are using firefox or internet explorer, try to locate the settings for autofill disable mode.
here i guess that you already know your station codes. if you don't then you may google it around for it. actually, the plan my travel section doesn't seems to be accessible to choose the train number and class. so to find my desired train for any route, i take the help of the site www.indianrail.gov.in once i get to know about the train details i want, then i simply go to quick book section where i need to fill up the source station, destination, train no., date, class and passenger's details which is accessible. although above procedure is lengthy despite you could do everything on the IRCTC site itself and also this might not be practical solution, but considering the inaccessibility of plan my travel section, i just suggested this alternative so as not to hamper your work. if members have the better solution, can throw more light on this.
