Hi members when i started to use computer with screen reader, i was introduced to two softwares: jaws and kurzweil. I learned to operate computer with the help of jaws and learned to scan and read my books with the help of kurzweil. since then i have been found of kurzweil for scanning and studying my scanned notes. however recently i hurd that there are other softwares which may be better then kurzweil and jaws for reading purposes. just i want to hear from other people who used other softwares also such as, openbook for reading and fine reader for scanning. please share your experience regarding scanning and reading the scanned material. the reason for that i like to study through kurzweil is that in kurzweil i can scan easily, i can keep image enable while scanning as if some time i require to see the image of the scanned page in case if text is missing or wrongly recognised, and there is dictionary in kurzweil which gives easy access to see the meaning of any word. in kurzweil you can set bookmark, you can keep your file open and turn off kurzweil, when ever you will open k your previous file will be opened automatically.
