Hi, Get hold of a magnetic compass. A smart phone will help but if you don't have that, buy a Braille compass or build one yourself. A magnetic compass always points north. It is easy to follow a Braille compass since the needle always swings to the north. There are markings for other directions such as north, east, south etc. Move around in a safe environment and see how the needle changes orientation. A middle school physics textbook should tell you how to build one yourself.
Building one yourself would be the best approach.
