Dear friends...Please let me share one information. As you may aware, now I am possessing the Headmaster's charge of KFB's HKCMM School, Kottappuram. With the support of Sreekrishnapuram Block Panchayath, we started an attempt to raise the availability of essential study materials for our children in our School. (Braillers, tactile globes etc.) Sreekrishnapuram Block Panchayath is ready to sanction a good amount for this, because Rs. 19 lakhs is there in their fund to be spent for physically challenged. But they need a Govt. Order for sanctioning this support, because ours school is an aided school, not Govt. In 2003 LSGD department has issued an order (GO (RT) No. 2727/2003/LSGD dated 23.7.2003) which declared KFB as an accredited agency to run the projects for visually challenged. Moreover State Planning Board has issued an order (No. 1340/2002/DP/ SPB dated 17-3-2003) which allowed Kannur District Panchayath to give support to KFB Kannur District Unit for starting a Plaster of Paris Production Unit. Under the light of these two pre-incidences we approched Secretary to Govt. LSGD Dept. to give a special order for us on 24-4-2013. They forwarded the file to Commissioner for Rural Development (RDC) for his approval. For moving the file in the secretariat we send two persons in last week of April. They succeeded to reach it in the RDC's office after spending 3 days thereo. To move it back from the RDC's office to Secretariat with approval, we went to Trivandrum day before yesterday. At first they asked additional report from BDO Sreekrishnapuram, though we attached a letter from Sreekrishnapuram Panchayath President and a decesion if its board meeting to get an order to give support to our school. But we succeeded to produce it with in one hour, because BDO and entire block panchayath members and officials were there with us. Then they asked proof that shows that this is a school under KFB. We immediately produced it with the support of our head office staff. Then one of the higher officer wrote and returned the file (without reading it?) as "what is the need of this order now". After spending 2 days we started back yesterday evening...The support we received from KFB Prasident Aboobacker Sir and Secretary Sri. E. Raghavan in these days are unforgetable. Now please let me know, how can we overcome these unwanted hurdles created by beurocracy against special schools??
