Though you haven't mess up with bios, perhaps the os had made such an
unnecessary changes without your knowledge. So in that case, you should restore
your bios with sighted friend. Note, as bios is design to use only for
intermediate or advance user, little mistake can cause your machine in an
unpredictable result!

it

hi all first of all please excuse me for the long mail as this is a big problem.
i had installed vinux on my external hard drive just to play with it a
little more and to learn how updates work and all.
then i had to uninstall vinux cause i had to use the drive to install

the partitions on which vinux was installed by using gparted for
windows and converted the hard drive to 1 ntfs partition and copied
the files from the windows8 iso which i had purchased but when i went
to boot that computer with sighted help from that external hard drive
i just get error 17 in the computers bios but before i installed vinux
on that hard drive the computer could boot from it and i also didnt
change anything in the bios can some1 please urgently tell me why do i
get this error 17? and what should i do to solve it i also booted it
on another computer and the sighted person told me that the grub boot
loader is loading up
