@Raghvendra & @Srini.. this is a very serious matter where 200 people VI persons appointed as first and second divisonal assistance in various departments are sittle idle without any alloted work. This is only going to create a wrong impression in the state that disabled people are burden on the government. The reality remains that the workplaces are not accessible and barrier free to them and no reasonable accommodation or equalizing environment is provided by the employer. How they can be expected to prove their worth then? It is like asking a person to dig a deep pit without giving him proper tools. Recently, the office of CCPD and RCI had organised a consultative workshop on a similar subject wherein suggestions have been drafted for the DoPT to plug the loopholes in the system so that employees with disabilties could function optimally in the Union Govt. offices.
