hi, i dont remember the model numbers, but i have tried at least 3 soni mp3s for voice recording, and all of them have been quite satisfactory. and also easy to opperate. you can of course try to go to a store where they're ready to open and show you the product, so u can chek it out according to your needs.. but on the whole soni is worth considering. transcend is also very good no doubt. but somehow they get spoilt quite fast in my experience. although quality wise they've been the best for me too. and if i'm not mistaken even the angel book reader has great recording quality. every1 i know who used it has been happy with it. so u may want to consider that too for added benefits. actually depending on your needs and budget there r also very high quality recorders like the zoom recorder which is of professional field work quality. so take your pik. best, Shireen.
