nono u dont have to do anything like that just do this.
1. go into system.
i dont know about xp but if u are using windows 7 and higher then do
the following.
1.1 go to controle pannel then find system link click on it and then
click on change settings.
a new window should open in that window go to advansed tab and click
on settings then go to advansed tab of settings and click on change
butten in the virtual memmory grouping untick on automatically manage
paging size for all drives and press tab u will get a list of hard
drives if your windows is installed on c drive it should say c: system
managed and then press tab u will get a list of radio buttens check
the custom size butten then press tab in the inishell size mb edit box
type in 1024 and in the maximum size mb type in 2048 if u have 2 gb
ram if u have 4gb ram type 4096 and if u have 8gb ram type 8192 and
then click on set butten and click on ok butten windows will ask u to
reboot your computer just reboot then and there so that windows will
configure your vertual memmory
