Dear Prashant Sir,

Though I have never used such services in Delhi, but for Mumbai
suberbs there have been many such services. One of the most successful
was Riksha Wale. However, most of the time due to administration
difficulties, and lack of education, these services stop functioning.

I dont know about Delhi, but here in Mumbai they do take some
convenience charge also (frankly nobody would mind paying if you are
getting the auto at your doorstep), and interestingly, this charge is
reduced to 50% for elderly, women and people with disability.

As a service, this kind of initiative is always welcome, though the
level of professionalism will not be as good as the radio taxy
companies maintain (for obvious reasons such as lack of resources).
But given the fact that it is economically viable, one should always
use such options wherever available. And importance of such options is
all the more valued by people who are not good at mobility.

On a completely different note, here in Mumbai one can order good
quality vegitables etc. also using websites with hardly any difference
between the market price and prices taken by such providers. I know
that these kind of projects have been operating in Delhi too, but
never got a chance to use them.

Regards,
