Seminars@Hadley Presents: Underground Guide to Making College and Vocational
Rehab Work for You

Date: Monday, September 16, 2013

Time: 2:00 PM CDT, 19:00 GMT

Considering college or other continuing education in the near future? Join
Seminars Hadley as Ed Haines, Hadley instructor, reveals an insider’s look at
the Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) process relating to transition students. With
almost twenty years of VR experience, Ed gives a perspective on what works, what
doesn’t, and how to navigate the system to ensure you receive the services to
which you are entitled. Be prepared for your future by learning how to form a
constructive working partnership with your VR Counselor.

Dawn Turco, Hadley senior vice president, will moderate this 60-minute seminar.
Opportunities will be given at the end of the presentation for questions and
comments.

Space in this seminar is limited. Please only register if you know you are
available to attend so that others are not closed out. [1]Register for

Seminars@Hadley Presents: The Ladies Lounge 3

Date: Wednesday, September 25, 2013

Time: 10:00 AM CDT, 15:00 GMT

Grab a cup of coffee, herbal tea or latte and meet us in the (cyber) Ladies
Lounge. We’re back for Ladies Lounge 3!

Do you have “How To” questions we didn’t cover in the earlier seminars? Perhaps
you’ve got a few personal care or styling techniques that work for you as a
blind or low vision woman. Do share! Ladies Lounge 3 will be an open microphone
format. We’ll be chatting it up during this seminar for ladies only.

Join Seminars@Hadley as Hadley instructors Patti Jacobson and Sharon Howerton,
joined by Certified Vision Rehabilitation Therapist Polly Abbott from Second
Sense in Chicago, respond to your questions and share their further thoughts on
the many topics covered in Ladies Lounge 1 and 2 (dressing with confidence,
clothing care and organization, make-up and more).

Given the “open mike” format, no formal presentation is planned. If you have a
question you’d like to send in advance, do so at [email protected]. If you
missed Ladies Lounge 1 or 2, visit the Past Seminars archive at
www.hadley.edu/pastseminars.

Hadley Senior Vice President Dawn Turco will join in on the conversation and
moderate this last 60-minute seminar in the Ladies Lounge series.
Space in this seminar is limited. Please only register if you know you are
available to attend so that others are not closed out. [2]Register for The
Ladies Lounge 3 seminar on September 25.
