does your scanner program retain the diagrams and pictures? if yes, in what
form?
certainly Kurzweil and to my knowledge Openbook also has an option to retain
the original scanned images of the pages. you can use them later if you
need. Finereader does not have its own proprietary format. it outputs the
content in either text, RTF or PDF formats. if the output is obtained in PDF
format, you can retain the diagrams and pictures.

Dear Friends,
I have purchased a scanner of HP, and its model number is HP Scann
Jet G 2010. It is a portable scanner and it has no facility of
printer
So my question is, in which format should I scann the desired page?
Because whenever I try to scann it in format such as PDF Searchable
PDF, Text to OCR and wordpad file etc; I get the scanned page either
with lots of spelling mistakes, as a blankh page or half scanned page
etc.
So please suggest me some way.
