We at IIT are looking for people on temporary positions for the Smartcane project who could transcribe the Audio data into text. The transcriber’s job would be to transcribe the interviews done with the Smartcane device users during the trials. The questionnaires are bilingual – Hindi and English and the transcriber will also have to suitably translate the Hindi content in to English while transcribing the data. The person appointed will be paid as per the working hours or as per the amount of data that has been transcribed, as the case may be. Also, the person can work from home if he/she so desires. The remuneration would be at par the industry standards. Essential: -Good knowledge of both the languages – Hindi and English and good communication skills, - Sufficient Knowledge of computers (office applications and audio playing tools) desired: - Any experience of data transcription, - knowledge of assistive technologies and mobility aids for visually impaired people.
