Hi, I'm using canon lyde 110 scanner. It is easy to carry & use. It doesn't require separate power. its just enough if u connect it with ur pc using usb cable. Its accuracy is good with kurzweil. U can use fine reader 11 to convert ur hard copy into word. Kindly note that I just share what I'm using, and I have not analyzed much about other brands.
