I don't think even Blind people are hundred percent suited for this post because apart from listening to hearings, the expressions of the faces along with the whole body language are of immense significance which a person with vision impairment cannot really monitor. ----- Original Message ----- From: "akhilesh" <[email protected]> To: "AccessIndia: a list for discussing accessibility and issues concerningthe disabled." <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, November 02, 2013 7:55 AM Subject: Re: [AI] Blind/deaf can't be judges, say govt and HC;PIL questions it
don't treat it as bias and partial mail. But how a complete Hearing-impaired become a judge? As per my information, even hearing aids cannot aid him to listen the arguments advanced by lawyers. The post is suitable for 100%visually-impaired and not for complete hearing-impaired. Delhi is providing the reservation for visually-impaired 100 percent and mobility impaired. no mention of hearing-impaired even for partially ones.
