Hi, Pearl is the name of the device from FreedomScientific, which acts as a camera scanner, and is being used in conjunction with Openbook (the scanning and OCR software) to get the text out of the scanned image. Basically one takes the snapshot of the page and then the rest of the job is finished by Openbook.
