Dear Access Indians,

Prashant Damle, a veteran dramatist and a versatile Marathi actor who has acted
in

numerous Marathi dramas, movies and television serials for over 15 years with

Guinness World Records launched his brand new Marathi drama “Nakalat Saare
Disale”

on 8th November 2013 at Dombivili, Thane district.

I got a chance to watch this drama on Sunday 10th November at Thane theater.

Theme of the drama is about famous stage artists who suddenly becomes blind at
the

age of 45 and then face tremendous social and mental stress. A born blind
female

of 25 year old who is a teacher and councilor enters in his life and gives him

confidence and new vision to face each and every problem practically as well as

mentally. Her support helped him to overcome depressions and he resumes his
every

personal, social activities with a positive attitude and live happily.  The
screen

play is very good and gives a message to the main stream community to view
blind

persons in positive way.

The drama gives message not to get afraid of any disability and take it in

positive way and overcome the barriers and continue life with little
adaptations

and attitude changes.

Hats off to celebrity like Prashant Damle for highlighting social issues and

difficulties face by VI community mainly by late blind persons.

Also during this drama a campaign to get 3 lakh eye donations forms will be

actively carried out as

each audience is given eye donation form.  Prashant Damble himself started this

campaign by pledging his eyes for eye donation at the time of first drama show

before audience.

I heard positives feedbacks from the audience and I really appreciate such

efforts.

With best wishes to all.

Yours,

Vikas Dabholkar.
