Hi all,

I did some back of the envelope calculations. If we take Rs. 500 per day as
a begger's daily income, then said begger earns about 1.68 Lakhs per annum
assuming he works all 7 days a week. I assumed that 2 Lakhs would be
sufficient insentive for said begger to quit begging and move to a more
remunerative option. This means that the starting monthly salary has to be
Rs. 17000. Visions of salary growth are not tangible things as anyone who
has engaged in salary negociations will know.

However, from Mukesh's message, if they are not interested in 20K per month the question arises what is the revenue figure that would turn them around?
Rs. 30000 per month gives them a figure of 3.6 lakhs which would make an
appreciable difference. This is the kind of salary management graduates used
to get when I started.
