I remember seeing an article on this list where mention has been made of
the person Harish has spoken of. I think she is a Ms Cementwala, I'm not
certain of her first name. she was visiting Devnar School in Hyderabad a
few weeks ago.

Hi
There used to be a blind person from the US embassy stationed in India.

This could be a reference point to work on.
Harish.

The doors of Indian Foreign service are open for a visually challanged
person. One has to qualify Civil services and have to give foreign service
as his first preference, there is no such bar that a VH candidate cann't
hold that office. Nonetheless for being successful in this career one has
to be proficient in good understanding of foreign relations of India with
other country and good knowledge of various affairs between India and
allocated country .
