Dear Awamish You asked: > which one is better to go between Kindle and Apple?
I have the Kindle Fire HDX. This comes with the magnification feature and screen reader Talkback, with high quality English voice. It is possible to download Brailleback from the Amazon app store, but I have not tested this. In some respects the device is easier to use than other Android tablets, because they have changed the interface to focus on the things you might want to do with their content, like read Kindle books, listen to Audible books, watch Amazon video and shop in their store. I don’t know how many of these are relevant in India. However, there are issues using the (Silk) browser with Talkback. You can download apps from the Amazon store. If you want to use it for limited purposes, then it is a fine device, and I really like the physical design. in some ways more than the iPad. But if you want the option to branch out and do a lot more, safe in knowing that it offers the most accessible platform, then the more expensive Apple devices are a better bet. (I am sighted, but know a little about blindness and low vision accessibility) I will be in Delhi, and will being the Kindle Fire with me.
