Dear Suman, At the outset, let me clarify that I am a regular user and contributor to NVDA. I think it is a great screen reader and has made tremendous strides in the last couple of years.
Having said that, switching your screen reader just to avoid automatic updates seems to be a bit of an extreme step. I also think statements like "NVDA is as good as Jaws" are very highly subjective and maybe construed to be incorrect. NVDA performs well for some tasks such as support for Firefox whereas Jaws has its own strengths such as much better support for calendars in Outlook and so on. I appreciate that you are trying to promote the use of NVDA which is admirable but I suggest that you do this using facts and not highly subjective statements. Thank you for your consideration.
