Identification of Indian currency notes is a major challenge which visually impaired face on a daily basis. With Rupee Checker, blind persons can independently and confidently identify currency notes of different denominations. Available in two variants: Rupee Checker Signature Guide - Rs. 45/- This credit card size Rupee Checker is a multipurpose device. It can be used as a signature guide and also for identifying the different currency notes. The sharp edges on the right side are used for identifying currency notes in half folded position and the broader edges on the left side are used to identify currency notes by wrapping the Indian rupee note around the device. The blind user can feel the position of the note over the cuts and will be able to determine its denomination in seconds. The smaller rectangular cut can be used for signing attendance registers etc. which have a small space for initials. The bigger rectangular cut can be used to sign forms, letters & cheques. Rupee Checker Wallet - Rs. 110/- The Rupee Checker Wallet keeps currency notes safe and with one touch the blind user can confidently take out the required note. When you place the note inside the wallet, make sure that it is aligned with the two closed sides of the wallet. In this position check the top of the note which will touch one of the step like cuts on the top open side of the wallet. This Rupee Checker can be kept inside the men's wallet in the folded position or women can opt to buy the Clutch Handbag which can also store cards and coins. -----Original Message----- From: AccessIndia [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Aravind R Sent: 25 February 2014 21:01 To: AccessIndia: a list for discussing accessibility and issues concerning the disabled.
