Insert+5 reads your font's color and the background color of the font.

As far as the difference between foreground and background color is
concerned, from what I understand is that its a combination. The
foreground color is the main color, like Black, and it is made on the
background which is of White color.

So when you hear Jaws saying that the text is Black on White, that
means Black is your foreground color (of the font), and it is based on
White Background. So the color behind the Font is black.

You can use Sounds Schemes and Skim Reading tool of Jaws to read the
text with specific colors. These are very useful and powerful features
of Jaws.

Do you mean the color of the display when you say screen color?
