Hi Shantanu,
I've done PhD in management. I also cleared UGC NET in the subject.
Many universities have UGC NET as a criterian for admission into PhD.
Some other universities conduct their own entrance tests. But it is
desirable to have UGC NET before getting into PhD. You may get JRF as
well. So, PhD programme depends mainly on the standard of university,
fellowship, place of your living, etc. Do feel free to have a chat
with me on the subject.
