Hi. This method works for Windows 7 Starter and hopefully it will be applicable for Windows XP as well. Press Ctrl + Esc or Windows to launch the Start Menu. Press the up arrow once and start pressing C until you land up on Computer. Press the Applications key and press the up or down arrow until you land on Show On Desktop. Simply press Enter on it and you are done. Alternatively, you can press Windows + E to launch Computer AKA Windows Explorer. Hope that helps.
