Dear friends,

Computer has become an integral part of our life and thus its knowledge keeps utmost importance to keep ourselves updated to the demands of the society. Keeping this in mind, Navchetna Institute is starting a 15 day training course in which students will be taught basic computers with the help of screen reader. In this training 2 screen readers namely JAWS and NVDA will be taught. This will benefit new students trying to learn computers and also those who are trying to enhance their knowledge in computers. The course starts on 10th June 2014.


Course Curriculum:

1. Discussion on Operating Systems

2. How to work on Windows

·         Windows navigation

·         Notepad

·         Wordpad

·         Making a folder

·         Saving a file

3. JAWS Screen Reader

4. NVDA Screen Reader

5. Ms Office

·         Ms Word

·         Ms Excel

·         Learn to use Daisy Books and its tools

· Working with regional languages-All available tools will be discussed

6. Internet Basics

7. Special class on Nokia and Android Mobile Phones


Facilities:

This training is for people from Patiala as well as from outside Patiala. Lodging and food will be provided to the people from outside Patiala. Seats are limited so lodging will be on first come first serve basis.
