Subramani -For audiences in Chennai. “Lights Out”, a blow by blow account of Subramani’s gradual vision loss, speaks about the genetic condition called Retinitis Pigmentosa and the impact it had on his family and how it changed his outlook of the society and the social attitude towards him. To explain how widespread the book’s experience is among the community of RP and other retinal diseases patients, we have also organized a “PANEL DISCUSSION “picking up some of the recurring themes of the books that also resonates with the community. A team of experts from medical, rehabilitation counseling, special education, employability, technology and accessibility will be part of the discussions providing their valuable inputs.
