Subject: [AI] campaign -Railways
Since there is so much discussion on accessindia and no plan of how to
take it forward I can suggest one way and its up to all of you.
Assuming that we take one issue at a time-
The judgement on online booking I think was in the Sambhavna
case-therefore technically Sambhavna can file the contempt petition. I am
sure others can do so too but thats too much work for each of us who are
not in Delhi.
However nothing stops each of us from sending a letter to the Railway
Ministry/Railway Board asking them what they are doing about the judgement
and when they plan to implement it.
with a copy of the judgement attached.
If we can flood the Ministry with these hardcopy letters with the
judgement there is no way anyone can ignore us.
you can escalate it to the Prime Minister etc. But the basic letter must
go to the Ministry.
Unfortunately we will have to do a little work. We wil have to write a
letter, find the address of the Ministry, find the judgement, take
printouts and then post it. Someone will have to keep track of who wrote
the letters-so someone will have to volunteer and make a folder.
I have always maintained that our rights are in our hands.
Instead of complaining I hope we can take the action needed.
