Hello All
I am writing this mail after feeling sad about the attitude of most of
the organisations / govt establishments which are advertising the
vacancies and not providing reservation to Visually Impaired
candidates. Despite the fact that the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India
as well as many High Courts have delivered various decisions in order
to ensure appropriate opportunities to all the Disabled candidates.

For instance, Agriculture Scientist Recruitment Board (ASRB) has
advertised vacancies for Administrative Officers in which ASRB has
provided reservation for OH candidates but no reservation has been
given for persons with Visual Impaired candidates. Same is the case
with GAIL where vacancies for Engineers have been advertised but no
seat is reserved for Persons with Visual Impairment, and the list is
unending.

In my little knowledge the post of Administrative Officer is
identified for Persons with visual impairment but only God knows what
reasons ASRB has for the same.

Seeing these things is very painful but not able to understand what to
do: except for going to the Hon'ble CCPD, as it is not possible to
take every case to the CCPD.

Hope to get some suggestions or ideas from all of the access indians.
